Privacy Policy

The short version

Chef AI turns the ingredients and nutrition targets you type in into recipes written by AI. To do that we need to keep an account for you and store the recipes you save. We don't sell your personal data, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time.

What we collect

• Your name and email address, plus your password. Your password is stored securely by our app platform, Base44 — we never see it in plain text.
• If you sign in with Google, the basic profile details Google shares with us, such as your name, email address and profile picture.
• The ingredients and nutrition targets (calories, protein, carbohydrates and so on) you enter in the recipe generator.
• The recipes you save, including their names, ingredients and instructions, so they are there when you come back.
• Your plan and how many recipe generations you have used this month, so we can apply the limits of your Free or Pro plan.

How your information is used

We use your details to run your account, generate recipes for you, save your recipe collection and show your usage. We also use your email address to send account messages such as verification codes and password resets.

AI-generated recipes and images

Recipe text and recipe images are created by third-party AI services. The ingredients, targets and preferences you enter are sent to those services to produce your results. The recipes and images are generated for you, not reviewed by a person before you see them.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We only share it with the service providers that make the app work, such as Base44 for hosting, login and storage and the AI providers that generate recipes and images.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself from the Account page. Open it from the app menu and choose "Delete Account"; this permanently removes your saved recipes and ends your access. If you would rather we handle it for you, email us at support@chefai.example and we will delete the account.

Keeping your data safe

Your saved recipes are private to your account. Access to them is checked on every request, so other users cannot see or edit your collection. No online service can promise perfect security, but we keep the amount of data we store to what is needed to run Chef AI.

Children

Chef AI is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use Chef AI after a change means you accept the updated policy.
